George R.R. Martin Masterworks Miniature Line - DSM5501 - 54mm - Daenerys with Newborn Dragons
Tom sculpted this in 54mm and then created a standard sized version to fit in with the rest of the normal line. Tom wanted to recreate the Botticelli Venus in a Half Shell pose and instead of her hair flowing all over, he would use the three newborn dragons in place of the hair. You can see the Botticelli artwork down below and see for yourself what Tom accomplished with this piece. Pretty striking stuff indeed....Please note - that this piece recreates Daenerys emerging fresh from the fires of Khal Drogo's funeral pyre. All of her clothes and her hair (but not quite all of her hair as she is Blood of the Dragon afterall) are burned off. There will be pics of the base with appropriate rubble on it coming soon as well.

This is the version George had Anne do for his personal collection. You can see both versions here. They are both lovely and both from Anne.

The skin tones with subtle tan lines from her riding clothes are simply off the charts. George loved what Anne did with this piece.

Something happened to the pictures of this piece as there appears to be some washout. The actual miniature itself was stunning in person. Erin, if you have better pics, send them over to me. Or lets hook up at The Source and I will bring this piece home and shoot it here and then return it to you.
